Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance was formerly known as the Graduate School of People's Bank of China, established in 1981. Educated by China's reform and cultivating talents for China's reform, the "Wudaokou" elite gathered, talents came out in large numbers, and its impressive achievements made it widely concerned and highly praised at home and abroad, and won the reputation of "Financial Whampoa". Over the past 40 years, "Wudaokou" has always stood at the forefront of the tide and forged ahead, and as a historical witness of reform and opening up and a practitioner of promoting financial development and reform, it has gradually developed into one of the important training bases for higher financial professionals in China.
On March 29, 2012, "PBC" was merged into Tsinghua University, and the PBC School of Finance of Tsinghua University was officially established, opening a new page in the development history of Tsinghua PBC. With the mission of "cultivating financial leaders, leading financial practice, contributing to national rejuvenation, and promoting world harmony", Tsinghua PBC School of Finance draws on the international advanced financial disciplines and business school higher education models to build China's leading and world-class financial higher education platform and financial academic and policy research platform.
